Alex & Hugo Co., Ltd operates alexhugo.com and rents furnished apartments in Bangkok. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It follows Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).
What we collect
When you enquire or book, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your requested dates.
Once a booking is confirmed, we also collect proof of payment and a copy of your passport.
Why we collect it
Name, email, phone and dates — to answer your enquiry, manage your booking, and contact you about your stay.
Proof of payment — to confirm that rent and deposit have been received, and for our accounting records.
Passport copy — solely to complete the TM30 notification. Thai law requires the owner or possessor of a residence to report a foreign national’s stay to the Immigration Bureau within 24 hours of arrival. We cannot host you without it.
Legal basis
We process your booking details to perform our contract with you. We process your passport copy to comply with a legal obligation under Thai immigration law.
Who we share it with
Your passport details are submitted to the Thai Immigration Bureau for the TM30 notification. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
Cookies and third parties
Our website uses cookies necessary for it to function, set by WordPress and by the plugins that run the site. We do not use advertising cookies.
Apartment pages embed a Google Maps view. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours.
If you leave a review, your name and a hashed version of your email address are sent to Gravatar to display a profile picture.
Where your data is stored
Our website and its database are hosted with Hostinger on servers located in the European Union. This means your data is stored outside Thailand. Hostinger acts as our data processor and is bound by its own data protection obligations.
Your passport copy and proof of payment are held in our own records and are not published on the website.
How long we keep it
We delete your passport copy as soon as the TM30 notification is complete and no longer needed.
Proof of payment is retained for as long as Thai accounting and tax law requires.
Enquiry and booking details are kept while your booking is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email us and we will respond.
Security
Your data is stored on our website’s hosting and in our own records. We keep access limited to those who need it.
